Sal Provenza is an experienced residential land expert focused on acquisition and disposition of land suitable for residential development throughout California.  His clients include land owners, private and public home builders, land developers, land investors and apartment developers.  




  • Bought, sold & financed land valued at $500+ million throughout Northern & Southern California

  • Villa Borba in Chino Hills — Fully-approved mixed-use master planned community on 336 acres consisting of 351 lots, 280 apartments, five acres of commercial and a park.


  • Riverbend in Jurupa Valley — Former dairy on 215 acres adjacent to Goose Creek Golf Course planned for 468 residential lots in four planning areas with a five-acre park.


  • The Groves in Fullerton — Former automotive dealership redeveloped into an urban infill community of 52 townhomes.


  • Walden in Garden Grove  — Former church property redeveloped into a gated community consisting of 18 single family detached lots and a tot lot.


  • Pacific Vista in San Clemente - Ten fully-approved lots with ocean views sold on behhalf of the builder in cooperation with the construction lender.




Provenza has 15 years of real estate acquisition, disposition, development and finance experience.

Prior to WD Land, Provenza was with Colliers International’s Residential Land Advisory Group.  In 2009, he co-founded CWP Advisors, a boutique real estate advisory firm providing receivership, management and brokerage services to lenders, servicers, owners, developers and investors.


From 2000 to 2009, Provenza was part of the senior management team of Toll Brothers (NYSE: TOL), America’s Luxury Homebuilder and a national residential land development company.  During his tenure, Provenza was responsible for land acquisition, due diligence, approval processing, project management, design, development and financing.  In addition, Provenza was involved in the pursuit of several corporate mergers and acquisitions valued at over $4 billion.


Prior to his development career, he worked for two architecture and town planning firms focused on retail, hospitality, office and mixed-use programs.  




Provenza is Chairman of the Building Block Foundation Fund, a charity dedicated to at-risk youth in Orange County supported by the commercial real estate industry.  As a California State University Fullerton professor, he teaches real estate courses at the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.  He is a frequent speaker at the industry conferences and lectures at local universities.  




Provenza resides in Irvine, California with his wife and two daughters.  He enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, diving, traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with his family.
